Stafford and Districts Amateur Radio Society is a club for anyone with an interest in amateur radio, where they can come and meet like minded people. The club has an informal atmosphere and an enthusiastic membership ,some of whom specialise in particular aspects of the hobby ranging from contesting through to satellite communications. All of which makes Stafford & Districts ARS the ideal place to come and find out about radio. The club has access to a purpose built "Radio Shack" equipped with HF, VHF and UHF equipment and holds the club callsign GX3SBL. The club also holds both foundation and intermediate licence courses when requested, and club has undertaken construction projects, more of which can be found on the projects page. The society is more active than ever, with regular events, such as outdoor operating (sometimes at 3:00am!) and camping expeditions. The club welcomes new visitors who can be assured of a warm welcome when they visit. Stafford & Districts ARS meets every Thursday at 8:00 pm within St Leonards Sports & Social Club which is located within the Areva T&D factory grounds, St Leonards Avenue, Stafford.
